Do you dream of vacationing somewhere with gorgeous mountain views? You may need to decide early on in the planning stage what you prefer. A luxurious resort or bed and breakfast lodging may both give you gorgeous mountain views, but the amenities will obviously be different. When looking for places to stay, try to determine what you are looking for in a vacation.
The time of year for your vacation will give you a different experience as well. Mountain climates are not the same in the summer as in the winter. Depending how far north one choses to vacation, those gorgeous mountain views may just be of a snowy wonderland. Winter time at the mountains may be right up your alley if you or your family enjoy skiing.
One area in the U.S. with 14 mountain peaks over 10,000 feet is in Buena Vista, Colorado, which was founded in 1879. “Buena Vista” means “beautiful view,” if that lends any credence to the sight’s loveliness. Buena Vista, Colorado is part of the San Isabel National Forest, which covers more than 1,109,782 acres. There are 10 mountain peaks topping out at over 14,000 feet. This is an area that is more a sightseeing adventure than what you would find on a tropical beach.
Once you have decided where you want to go, it is time to outline what activities will fill your time. When vacationing, the main attraction of course is relaxing. But do keep in mind that the more you or the family want to do, the more a plan will come in handy. Vacation time is limited, after all.
Waking up each morning to the sight of gorgeous mountain views could really take a vacation to the next level. While a nice room with a mediocre view of a parking lot is still a vacation, even a nice one, it is not perhaps what you envision when daydreaming at work. Although it may not make or break the whole trip, a nice scene out the window of your room can add to the atmosphere of relaxation.
